The American Family Coalition is
a national grassroots leadership alliance, with a diverse network
of community and faith-based organizations in all 50 states,
working for the renewal and strengthening of marriage and family.
Our Mission and Purpose
Our mission is to renew American
families and communities through character education, model public policies and faith-based action embodying
the principle of living for the sake of others.
As a premier grassroots
leadership and training enterprise reaching a comprehensive array
of faith-based and community leaders, elected officials,
organizations and programs throughout the United States, AFC seeks
to:
 | Promote a vision and
framework for family and community renewal based on core
principles and rooted in God's ideal of the family. |
| Support and share the best
methods for achieving family and community renewal.
Provide training in practical skills for applying core
principles to the challenges of daily life. |
| Model effective programs to
strengthen families and communities. Test program models
with measurable outcomes to demonstrate their effectiveness. |
| Develop state and national
alliances of leaders on family and community issues to promote
synergy, national renewal and service to the world. |
| Promote service learning
initiatives embodying the principle of living for the sake of
others to strengthen youth, families and communities. |
AFC Core Objectives
| Strengthen marriages through
the application of family education and positive family
policies. |
| Reduce youth violence and
other high-risk behaviors such as sexual promiscuity through
enhanced parenting, youth leadership, character education, and
positive role model initiatives. |
| Promote faith-based community
building initiatives to address addictions and other social
issues.
